    • How can I chat with LifeChef?

    • How does LifeChef work?

      1. LifeChef invites you to take our nutritional survey created by a Medical Doctor, so you can personalize your health journey based upon your dietary needs and/or any medical conditions.

      2. You can choose your plan of 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 or 18 meals per week, along with supplements.

      3. LifeChef delivers fresh, prepared meals weekly in an insulated box with ice packs so your meals stay cool through the shipping process.

      4. Enjoy your meals in 3 minutes or less using a microwave. 

      5. If you don’t use a microwave, you can also heat the meals in the oven on 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes.  Transfer food to an oven safe dish.  

    • Where are the meals prepared?

      Your meals are prepared by our seasoned executive culinary team at LifeChef’s New Jersey flagship location.
      Please note: Our food is prepared and packaged in a facility with shared equipment. Because your well being is always our highest priority, please be aware that milk, egg, fish, shellfish, wheat, sesame, soy, peanuts, and tree nuts are all present in our kitchen. If you have questions or concerns about allergens, please contact us prior to ordering.”

      LifeChef delivers healthy, prepared meals to nine states conveniently on a weekly basis or as needed. Upon starting a LifeChef meal subscription, consumers answer some simple nutritional and diet questions/goals to develop their own and their family’s diet profile. That profile is used to suggest foods that support their nutritional needs. The beauty of LifeChef is that every meal can be tailored by the individual to fit their preferences. We offer more than 60 components and you can build your own custom meals tailored to your personal health goals. We are revolutionizing the way consumers obtain healthy, convenient food for themselves and their family.

    • Who are we?

      We are food industry and tech industry vets who were hit hard by the Covid-19 pandemic. Our co-working business was shattered. How do we pick up the pieces? Take our talents and apply them to a new approach to fresh, healthy food delivery. We have a renowned chef, nutrition professionals, digital marketing gurus, and operations experts together who believe, that food of the highest quality, tailored to an individual’s needs and preferences, delivered in a convenient fashion is what the consumer is asking for in today’s market.

    • How long will my meals stay fresh?

      Once delivered, we anticipate a 7-day shelf life (refrigerated) due to our Modified Atmoshpere Packaging. We remove all of the oxygen and fill it with a mix of Nitrogen and Carbon Dioxide. These gases inhibit the growth of bacteria in the package.

    • What are the portion sizes, calories, and nutritional content of each meal?

      You can find this information on our website, as well as on the packaging. It is available on the nutritional labels for each item. The ingredients and allergens are also listed.

    • Can I find the recipes online?

      No, but each meal and each component has a nutritional label and ingredients on our website.

    • Do you use Organic/Non-GMO ingredients?

      Yes, we are constantly modifying our ingredients to include all-natural, no antibiotics, organic when necessary, non-GMO ingredients. With your input, we always search for more of the ingredients that you are looking for in your prepared foods.

    • Is your packaging environmentally friendly?

      Our current packaging includes curbside recyclable cardboard box, two-piece insulated box liner made from Post-Consumer/Post Industrial recycled materials , #1 recyclable food containers, box sleeve made from SBS paperboard, and drain safe gel packs that keep your meals protected and chilled during transit.

    • Do I have to cook my meals?

      All meals are fully cooked, so you can heat them up in a microwave and enjoy.

       

    • Are your meals frozen?

      No, our meals are fresh, never frozen.  

       

    • How do you keep your food fresh?

      Freshly prepared meals that are packaged in a modified atmosphere to enhance the shelf life.

    • How do I change my meals for an upcoming order?

      Once you are logged into your account, click the shopping cart icon in the upper right hand corner.  From there, you can select the meals you want to change and swap out components. 

      You can also clear all meals in your cart and start over building your own custom meals.

    • How do I cancel my subscription?

      You have the option to skip a week,  pause your subscription for as long as you wish and when you’re ready to receive meals again, you can log into your account and resume.   We will not send any meals or charge you during your time on pause.  You can also choose your next shipping date.

    • Does it cost money for a subscription?

      The good news is, we don’t charge a subscription fee!

    • How do I change my payment information?

    • Can I cancel an order after my card has been charged?

      Unfortunately, you will not be able to cancel your order, as we charge your card when your order has shipped (Monday or Thursday).

    • Will I be charged a cancellation fee?

      No, you will not be charged. 

    • When will my card be charged?

      We pre-authorize credit cards on Monday morning for a Friday delivery and on Thursday mornings for a Monday delivery. The credit card will be charged once the order ships on Monday or Thursday.

      If a credit card is declined when LifeChef pre-authorizes on Monday and Thursday morning, the LifeChef Customer Experience Team will reach out via phone and email giving the customer an opportunity to update the payment method.  If payment is not updated, the system will automatically cancel the order by 11am Eastern. 

    • Do you offer special discounts?

    • What forms of payment do you accept?

      At LifeChef, the cards we can accept are: all Major Credit Cards – Visa®, MasterCard®, American Express®, Discover®.   You can pay via credit card or with Apple Pay, Google Pay and PayPal. If you pay with a credit card, your card will remain on file and will automatically be charged weekly or based upon the frequency of your shipments.  

      We do not accept EBT payments.

    • Can I postpone my delivery?

      Yes, you can pause your delivery, skip a week or choose a future delivery date.

    • What if I am dissatisfied with my order?

    • Where do I find tracking info?

      Once your delivery ships, we will email and text you a link with a link to track your package, along with a tracking number.

    • Do I have to be home to receive my delivery? 

      No, we can leave your delivery at your doorstep, or wherever parcels are typically delivered to your home.  No signature is required. 

      Upon receiving your delivery, please transfer your meals into the refrigerator.

      Please note- the package will remain cold until the end of the delivery day, due to the insulated box with ice packs.

    • How to order a LifeChef Breakfast

      LifeChef offers a range of delicious and nutritious meal options for various times of the day. One of their most popular categories is breakfast, the most important meal of the day. LifeChef’s breakfast menu ensures you start your day on the right note with a healthy and satisfying meal. In this explainer article, we will walk you through picking your ideal breakfast item from LifeChef, keeping in mind that you need at least four meals (lunch and breakfast) in your cart to place an order.

       

      Step 1: Visit LifeChef’s website

      To begin, visit the LifeChef website at https://www.lifechef.com/. This will bring you to their homepage, showcasing their various meal options and categories.

       

      Step 2: Navigate to the breakfast menu

      Once you’re on the homepage, locate and hover over On the Menu at the top of the page. Click on “Breakfast” in the menu, or alternatively, visit https://www.lifechef.com/product-category/breakfast/?c=efea94fbc641 to access the breakfast category directly.

       

      Step 3: Browse the breakfast selection

      LifeChef offers an impressive array of breakfast items which cater to different tastes and dietary preferences. Scroll through the menu and take your time to read the descriptions and view the images of each dish. Click on the image for more information.

       

      Step 4: Select your breakfast item

      Once you’ve found a breakfast item(s) that you like, click on it for more information. You will be directed to a page that provides more details about the dish, such as ingredients, nutritional information, and preparation instructions. If it meets your expectations, Press the plus sign (+) next to each component/side to add it to your order/cart.

       

      Step 5: Complete your order by adding more meals (Lunch and Dinner)

      As per LifeChef’s requirements, you need a minimum of four meals that are lunch and dinner in your cart to place an order for breakfast. You can choose to add more breakfast items to your cart or explore other categories such as lunch, dinner, and snacks. Add at least three more meals to your cart by following the same steps as above.

       

      Step 6: Review your cart and proceed to checkout

      Once you have at least four meals in your cart, click on the cart icon at the top right corner of the website to review your selections. Make any adjustments as needed and proceed to checkout. Fill in your shipping and payment details, and your delicious LifeChef breakfast will soon be on its way to your doorstep.

    • Why Does My Pricing Sometimes Vary Week to Week?

      At LifeChef, you have the freedom to customize your meals, choosing different components each week.

      You may select budget-friendly ingredients like chicken or turkey, and your average meal cost is lower. If you prefer premium options like salmon or beef your average meal cost will be higher.

       

      Example: If all your weekly order’s main components are chicken or turkey, the average price per meal is $10.97. But if you choose salmon or beef for all meals, it would be $13.97. For mixed selections, expect an average between $10.97 and $13.97.

       

      This transparency lets you control your budget while enjoying personalized, high-quality meals. We are committed to fair pricing and ensuring your LifeChef experience is nutritious, delicious, and tailored to your preferences.

    • Do you offer mass personalization?

      The LifeChef choice system allows you to specify your preferences and have the meals prepared to your liking. Are your children picky eaters? Choose the healthy food they will eat and get the meals you wantDon’t care for broccoli?  Substitute cauliflower or one of the other delicious sides- it’s easy and convenient. 

       

    • What makes LifeChef unique?

      We offer fresh, personalized meals tailored to individuals, based on a completed nutritional survey. We never mix a meal- each part of the meal or component is sealed in a separate, modified atmosphere tray which allows for an extended 7-day shelf life.

      In addition to Chef-prepared meals, we also offer supplements that can be ordered weekly or delivered based on your selected frequency.

      On our website, you will see Chef Hat icons- they will assist in selecting the “best option(s)” for you. The more Chef Hats, the better for you nutritionally. We base the Chef Hats on the answers that you give in the nutritional survey. If a food item is very good for you, we will suggest 5 Chef Hats. If a food item is not very good for you, we would give the item no Chef Hats, or only a couple if it’s OK for you. These are only suggestions and are not intended as medical advice.     • Can I add a few more meals to my weekly plan?

      You can choose from a variety of meal plans!  You can choose, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 or 18 meals. 

    • How much do the meal plans cost?

      It depends on how many meals you order, as well as what you order (Fish, Meat, Chicken).  Our meals range in price, but on average, it’s $12.50-$13.50 per meal (one meal is 3 separate components; ie: Moroccan Chicken, Steamed Broccoli, Riced Cauliflower).
